The Island Cup is set to bring kayak polo excitement to Camp Thunderbird in Sooke, BC, on May 23-25 2025. Hosted by Vancouver Island Kayak Polo (VIKP), this weekend-long tournament welcomes players aged 12 and up, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
Open to all skill levels (no kayak roll required).
Free-agent registration with team assignments by VIKP, though groups can request to play together.
Round-robin play on Saturday, followed by playoffs on Sunday.
Possible youth and national team demo games.
Location: Camp Thunderbird, 5040 Glinz Lake Road, Sooke, BC.
Accommodation: On-site cabins & yurts available, plus off-site options in Sooke.
Food: All meals provided, with dietary accommodations available.
